ANNNND Rebecca Green’s book came out! It looks perfect!
Furry Little Peach has dropped the Peachtober prompts for this year, and they look especially fun! I am SO excited, I am not kidding when I say I’ve been looking forward to this all year!
I listened to the audio book, The Teacher of Nomad Land by Danial Nayeri, and I genuinely enjoyed it. The storytelling was profound, touching, funny, and educational.
I also just finished The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe by C. S. Lewis. This was my first time reading it as an adult and it hits in a whole new way, its more poignant and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Now on to what was my favorite of the Narnia series as a kid, The Horse and His Boy.
The details that are in this article about where this illustrator draws inspiration, and how he actually goes about illustrating a book down to the nitty-gritty details is amazing, I don’t see this kind of info by a professional illustrator for free, hardly ever!
I’ve been doing a bit of playing around with putting pancake batter in a baking pan and then putting fruit on it like a fruit buckle…
The colors on this book cover I absolutely love! Actually, this is a book I saw YEARS ago on Pinterest and thought was so pretty, and then just like a month ago I found a copy of this book just sitting on a shelf at our Goodwill book store!
Another find that I’m really excited about are these little magazines that Ford put out in the 1950’s, basically just full of travel destinations to take your new car to. AND it has a Charley Harper illustration on the cover! I was thinking that if ever I did a subscription it would be so fun to send out little zines like these, with illustrations and film photos!

Book of The Month
For the Glory By Duncan Hamilton.
I’m afraid I won’t be able to do this book justice. I’ll just start by saying, I can’t remember reading a biography that moved me so deeply. I think what drew me to this book was the joy and humble kindness with which Eric Liddell lived. Perhaps one of the reasons it’s so moving is because it’s so convicting. It’s the kind of book that jolts you out of your comfort loving Western living, to show what is really worth living for. It was beautiful, in that he was the kind of person that was too kind, if that’s possible.
So I highly recommend! It was heart-wrenching and beautiful all at once.
